Lip-smacking chocolate is what everyone yearns for dessert, but we usually hold back because of the chockfull of calories it brings along. Here's a low calorie chocolate dessert made with low fat milk and cocoa powder which will not fail to satisfy your taste buds equally.

Ingredients


1 recipe Bread Walnut Ice-cream
2 tbsp chopped and roasted almonds (badam)

For the dark chocolate sauce
1 tbsp grated dark chocolate
2 tbsp coffee powder
4 tsp low fat butter
1 3/4 cups low fat milk
2 1/4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornflour dissolved in 1 tbsp low fat milk

Method

    For the dark chocolate sauce

    1. Combine the chocolate, cocoa powder, butter, milk and sugar in a non-stick pan and cook till all the sugar melts.
    2. Add the cornflour mixture while stirring continuously and let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes on a slow flame.
    3. Remove from flame and keep aside.

    How to serve

    1. Pour a little warm chocolate sauce in a long stem glass. Put ½ scoop of ice-cream,
    2. 1 tbsp sauce and ½ scoop of ice-cream again. Top with roasted almonds and serve immediately.
