Do sprinkle a lot of walnuts on top, as it offers a much-needed crispy break in the midst of an all-chocolaty preparation.

Ingredients


For The Cake
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
6 tbsp curds (dahi)
5 tbsp milk
5 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (akhrot)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
butter to grease the baking tray
walnuts (akhrot) for decoration

For The Icing
1/2 cup icing sugar
4 tbsp cocoa powder
3 to 4 tbsp water

Method
  1. Make the icing after the cake has cooled as the icing hardens quickly.
