Baking Temperature:  200°C (400°F).
Makes 10 muffins
Show me for muffins

1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp baking powder
a pinch soda bi-carb
8 tbsp condensed milk
4 tbsp mango pulp
4 tbsp melted butter
a few drops of vanilla essence
5 tsp chocolate chips
1/2 tsp melted butter for greasing
plain flour (maida) for dusting

  1. Sieve the flour, baking powder and soda bi-carb in a bowl. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the condensed milk, mango pulp, butter and vanilla essence in another bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  3. Add the flour mixture and mix gently using a wooden spoon or spatula.
  4. Add enough water (approx. 2 tbsp) to get a batter of dropping consistency.
  5. Pour 1 tbsp of the mixture into each of the 10 greased and dusted muffin moulds.
  6. Sprinkle ½ tsp chocolate chips evenly on it and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a muffin comes out clean.

Handy tip:

  1. You can line the muffin moulds with paper cups instead of greasing the moulds. This way they do not crumble while unmoulding.

How to pack

  1. Cool slightly, unmould and wrap in an aluminum foil or cling film or pack in a tiffin box.

Mango and chocolate chips complement each other so well and it gave amazing taste. My 10 years old daughter tried this recipe and she is so happy that she can make muffins and cakes on her own. She used this recipe to make mango chocolate cake for her grand mother and all admire her cooking. Very easy and tasty recipe for all age groups...
