Cheesy Spaghetti Spheres

These little wonders are crunchy on the outside and soft and cheesy on inside. They make terrific appetizers!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups boiled spaghetti
4 tbsp butter
5 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 1/2 cups milk
2 green chillies , chopped
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
3 tbsp finely chopped celery
salt to taste

To Be Mixed Together For The Batter
1/4 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup water
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
1/2 cup bread crumbs
oil for deep frying
tomato ketchup to serve

Method
  1. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the plain flour and sauté on a medium flame for a minute.
  2. Add the milk, while stirring continuously, mix well and cook till the mixture becomes thick and saucy.
  3. Remove from the flame, cool completely and add the spaghetti, green chillies, coriander, cheese, celery and salt and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into 25 equal portions and shape them into small rounds.
  5. Heat the oil in a kadhai, dip the spheres in the prepared batter, roll them into bread crumbs so that evenly coated from all the sides and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  6. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
