  1. Cut the onions into rings.
  2. Heat the butter on a slow flame and add the onions. Cover and cook the onions on a slow flame until pale in colour.
  3. Add 4 teacups of water and cook in a pressure cooker.
  4. Add the white sauce, salt and pepper and boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with cheese.

  1. Note:- The art of making this soup lies in frying onion slices and butter on a slow flame.
