Chapati Masala Noodles

Spicy and tasty version of the humble, bland chapattis.

1/2 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup sliced capsicum
2 cloves of garlic (lehsun), finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato slices
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp black salt (sanchal)
1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
2 tbsp butter
salt to taste
6 leftover chapatis, cut into long strips
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) for the garnish
lemon wedges for serving

  1. Heat the butter in a pan, add the onions and capsicum and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
  2. Add the garlic, tomatoes, turmeric powder and chilli powder and sauté for further 5 minutes.
  3. Add the black salt, pav bhaji masala, and salt and mix well.
  4. Add the chapati strips and toss well.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with the coriander and lemon wedges.

It a wonderful mouth watering recipe... Its really a amazing recipe.. I trued this once and everyone loved it so much people demand and I have to keep some left over rotis to meet the demands..its YummY... And worth a try... Hardly takes any tym... Loved it... N worth a try.. Thanks a lot Tarla aunty...

This recipe has been the most surprising I have ever tried in Indian cuisine. I tried it one day when I had too many leftover roti in the dhabba and when it was ready I promptly took it to my husband to taste test. He loved it so much that he ate the entire recipe and wanted to know when I started cooking so well. I now leave a six extra roti in the fridge every week just so I can make this.
