Chapati recipe - How to make Chapati

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:     Makes 12 chapatis.

  1. Mix the flours, oil and salt and make a dough by adding enough warm water.
  2. Knead the dough well and keep for ½ an hour. Knead again.
  3. Divide into 12 portions and roll out each portion into 150 mm. (6") diameter thin rounds using wheat flour for rolling.
  4. Cook lightly on both sides on a tava (griddle) and keep aside.

  1. This chapati can be stored in air-tight containers in the freezer for upto 2 months. Just defrost before use.
