  1. Clean, wash and soak the chana dal for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and pressure cook the chana dal till soft.
  3. Drain the excess water, mash the dal and keep aside.
  4. Combine all the ingredients with the dal and mix well.
  5. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into small round flat tikki.
  6. Heat a tava and cook each tikki using little oil, till they turn golden brown and crisp form both the sides.
  7. Serve hot.
