A crunchy, tangy accompaniment for boring meals! Store the dry masala in an air-tight container and add to dals and vegetables as well for a variation in flavour.

Ingredients

Method

    For the dry masala

    1. Dry roast all the ingredients together on a tava (griddle) till you get a nice aroma.
    2. Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
    3. Blend to a fine powder in a blender. Keep aside.

    How to proceed

    1. Mix the carrots, lemon juice, coriander and salt together in a bowl.
    2. Add 1 tablespoon of the prepared dry masala and mix well.
    3. Keep aside to marinate for atleast 1 hour.
    4. Cover and refrigerate till required. This pickle will last for a day in the refrigerator.
