Raw papaya, cabbage and capsicum combine in a delightful low calorie, low sodium, high vitamin a stir-fry to suit the indian palate.

Ingredients


1 cup thickly grated raw papaya
1 cup shredded cabbage
1/2 cup thinly sliced capsicum
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 pinches of asafoetida (hing)
1 green chilli , slit green chilli
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp oil
salt to taste

For The Garnish
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, and add the mustard seeds. When they crackle add the asafoetida and green chilli and sauté for a few seconds.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and stir for about 2 to 3 minutes on a high flame.
  3. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
