Bread squares are a delicious square shaped cut bread slices which are coated with batter and then deep fried. These crispy tit bits are best paired with a spicy sauce or chutney and served as tea time snack, starter or cocktail snack.

Ingredients

4 bread slices (each cut into 4 small squares)
3 cups plain flour (maida)
salt to taste
8 green chillies, chopped
2 onions, cubed
2 tbsp cornflour
1/4 kg spinach (palak), cleaned , washed and chopped
oil for frying
a pinch cooking soda
sufficient water to make a thick batter
Method


  1. Mix all the ingridients except bread slices.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai
  3. Dip the bread slices in the mixture and fry till golden brown.
