Besan laddoo, a mouth-watering variety of besan laddoo that simply melts is your mouth! this combination of besan with sugar and ghee can never go wrong. A definite favourite in the festive season when it can be made in bulk and stored in an air- tight containers.

  1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add the besan and sauté on a slow flame till the besan turns golden brown in colour
  2. Remove from the flame and transfer into a bowl and keep aside to cool.
  3. Add the sugar, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions, shape each portion into a round ball and sprinkle almond slivers over it. Serve immediately of store in an air-tight container till use.

Handy tip

  1. Ensure you sieve the powdered sugar to avoid formation of lumps after mixing with besan.
