Ingredients


175 gms rajma (kidney beans)
175 gms french beans
175 gms carrots
3 onions
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp ghee
salt to taste

For the sauce
1 carrot
1 potato
3 tomatoes

Method
  1. Soak the rajma for at least 5 hours.
  2. Boil the soaked rajma until soft.
  3. Cut the vegetables into long strips. Boil the french beans and carrots .
  4. Cut the vegetables for the sauce into big pieces, add 2 teacups of water and cook in a pressure cooker. Prepare a sauce by putting the mixture through a sieve.
  5. Heat the ghee in a vessel and fry the onions for a few minutes.
  6. Add the beans, vegetables, prepared sauce, salt, tomato ketchup and chilli powder and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Serve hot with bread slices.
