Basil is a holy and divine ingredient. It blends beautifully with pineapple to make this delicate raita!

Makes 4 to 6 servings

1/4 cup finely chopped basil leaves
1/2 cup chopped canned pineapple
1 cup thick curds (dahi)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tbsp blanched green peas
2 tbsp chopped and blanched carrot

To Garnish
pomegranate (anar) seeds

  1. Whisk the curds till smooth and add all the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and serve chilled.
