The mouthwatering fruit flavoured banana halwa is a simple and quick sweet dish prepared from mashed ripe bananas, and crushed dried fruits cooked with sugar and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be also served as a sweet snack.

    Instructions

    1. Heat 3 tablespoons of ghee in a heavy pan. add sugar alongwith the bananas and cook gently over low heat. stir to prevent the mixture sticking.
    2. Keep adding a little of the remaining ghee, until all the moisture evaporated and the mixture become golden and sticky.
    3. Add the nutmeg and the cardamom, remove from heat when the halwa leaves sides of the pan. do not overcook.
    4. Spread the halwa into a deep, large plate. allow it to cool and cut into squares.
