Baked Canneloni with Pomodoro Sauce

The word cannelloni is derived from "canna" and literally means big tubes of pasta. Filled with mixed vegetables and cottage cheese, the cannelloni when coated with Pomodoro sauce, evolves into a dish that you just cannot resist gobbling up!

Ingredients


8 cooked cannelloni
1 recipe Pomodoro Sauce

For the stuffing
1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, french beans, cauliflower, green peas)
1/2 cup paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp oil
salt to taste

Other ingredients
1/4 cup grated mozzrella cheese
butter for greasing

Method

    For the stuffing

    1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and sauté till they turn translucent.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 2 minutes.
    3. Divide the stuffing into 8 equal portions and keep aside.

    How to proceed

    1. Fill each cannelloni with 1 portion of the stuffing.
    2. Arrange all the cannelloni on a greased baking dish and pour Pomodoro sauce on top.
    3. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes.
    4. Serve hot.
