One of my favourite desserts which tastes delicious when it is served warm. Made just with low-fat paneer and fruits, you can occasionally enjoy a serving of this dessert after your meal. However, do remember to include these calories as part of your diet.

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Baking Time :  15 mins.   Baking Temperature:  220°C (440°F).   Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

To Be Blended Into A Smooth Cottage Cheese Mixture
1 cup low-fat paneer cubes
4 tsp sugar
few saffron (kesar) strands dissolved in 4 tbsp low-fat milk (99.7% fat free)
1 tsp cornflour

For The Fruit Filling
1 cup sliced apple
4 tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
a few drops lemon juice
Method
For the fruit filling

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Arrange the fruit in a greased 150 mm. (6") diameter pie dish.

How to proceed

  1. Spread the cottage cheese mixture over the fruit and bake in a pre-heated oven at 220°c (440°f) for 15 minutes.
  2. Serve warm.
