Bajra Methi Puri recipe - How to make Bajra Methi Puri


Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 to 7 serving

1 1/2 cups bajra (black millet) flour
3/4 tsp ginger (adrak) , green garlic (lehsun) and green chilli paste
1/2 cup finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
1/4 cup sesame seeds (til)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
1/4 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
4 tsp oil
1/2 tsp sugar
oil for greasing
salt to taste.

Other Ingredients
oil for deep fry
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, add water as per requirement and make thick dough.
  2. Apply oil on the plastic bag and with the help of palm and fingers make medium sized puri. Do not roll
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai.
  4. Remove puri from plastic and immediately put it in hot oil.
  5. Fry on slow flame till golden brown.
  6. Remove on tissue paper and allow it to cool
  7. Store it in air tight container.

Awesome reciepe... Tried today and everyone liked it. Tried without adding sugar, still tasted gooooood
