A lebanese equivalent of chaas, the only difference being ayraan has a pungent flavour of garlic.

Preparation Time:     Makes 4 glasses

2 cups fresh curds (dahi)
1 cup milk
1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
salt to taste

For Serving
4 ice-cubes

  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Pour into 4 individual glasses.
  3. Serve immediately with an ice cube in each glasses.

It is pretty much chaas just that its much thicker! so its basically non sweet lassi with a nice throw of ginger! nice!! :)
