Lebanese people are great lovers of tea, specially the fruit flavoured teas. In lebanon, apple flavoured tea leaves are readily available but try the following recipe to make a home-made version.

1 cup grated apples
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
2 green tea bags

  1. Heat 4 cups of water in a pan to boil.
  2. Add the apples, sugar and lemon juice, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 2 green tea bags and allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Strain the apple tea and serve immediately.

Green tea flavoured with fresh ingredients has a very pleasant taste and aroma.It was a hit when I served this at a tea party as an option to the regular tea.
