Apple chutney serve as a dip for the starters.

Ingredients

2 peeled and chopped apples
6 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp vinegar
1 cinnamon (dalchini) stick
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

Method
  1. In a deep pan, add the apples, 1 cup water, sugar, vinegar and cinnamon and boil till the apples are cooked and the mixture is just moist.
  2. Add the chilli powder and salt, mix well and cook for 2 minutes or till the apple is mushy.
  3. Remove from the flame and discard the cinnamon sticks.
  4. Serve hot or chilled.
