Adrak ka Shorba is a must try for every one! One of my favourite recipes, this hot concoction can make you feel better in an instant when you're feeling down. The jaggery is used to counter the strong and pungent taste of the ginger. For all those of you who love ginger and strong pungent food this Shorba is god-sent. Since it does not require too many ingredients and can be prepared in a jiffy it makes the perfect in between meal snack.

Ingredients

Method
  1. Boil 5 cups of water in a pan. Add the ginger and cook for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain and retain the ginger flavoured water while discarding the ginger.
  3. Boil the ginger water in a deep pan and add the jaggery, Punjabi garam masala, salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Serve hot garnished with coriander, mint leaves and ginger juliennes.
